Indicele de afinitate esta calculat ca raport de rapoarte intre utilizatorii de facebook ai unui anumit brand care au un interes particular/sursa de informare/preferinta pentru o personalitate publica si numarul total de utilatori interesati de brand, raportat la numarul total al utilizatori cu un interes/sursa informare/pers publica specifica raportat la numarul total al utilizatorilor de Facebook din .ro

Formula:
Index Afinitate = (Intersectie utilizatori brand si interes/Total utilizatori de brand)/(Total utilizatori .ro cu acel interes/Populatia generala Facebook .ro)

Interpretare:
Valorile peste 1 indica o afinitate mai mare intre utilizatorii interesati de brand si respectivul interes/sursa media/pers publica decat in populatia general.
Valorile sub 1 indica o lipsa de afinitate - cu alte cuvinte utilizatorii interesati de brand au mai putina afintate decat populatia generala pentru acel acea sursa de informare/interes/pers publica.

Faptul ca marea majoritare a valorilor sunt supraunitare este explicat ca algorimul Facebook detecteaza implicit interesele (branduri, pasiuni, pers publice) in functie de activitatea utilizatorilor. Persoanele care au activitate foarte scazuta pe FB (de pilda logare + like-uri, dar fara a genera continut) sunt marcate ca utilizatori activi in acea luna insa nu apar in clusterele de interese.
Data fiind aceasta limitare data de natura platformei, recomandam analizarea cifrelor de afinitate prin comparatia intre branduri si prin comparatia intre 2 interese specifice ale utilizatorilor aceluiasi brand.
